What is the news item mainly about? [br]
Indonesia says it’s found two large objects and an oil slick in the search for the Air Asia plane that crashed into the sea. The head of the agency in charge said the objects were found close to each other, 30 metres underwater. Divers now have to battle large waves to retrieve them. Search teams hope the discovery will bring them closer to finding the plane’s flight recorders, which should help in finding out what caused last Sunday’s crash from Surabaya to Singapore.
At least 30 bodies have been recovered so far.
Beijing will ban smoking in public areas beginning on July 1st. The new law imposes fines on establishments that fail to obey its restrictions. Supporters say the law will better protect its citizens’ lives and improve the environment. Revisions to the law make the ban more specific, and include a list of places affected. Smoking will be prohibited at kindergartens, schools, hospitals, stadiums, public service places, shopping malls, libraries, theatres and museums, among other places.
选项
A、The impact of smoking on the environment.
B、The banning of smoking in Beijing’s public areas.
C、The importance of prohibiting smoking.
D、The harm done by smoking to health.
答案
B
解析
新闻开头提到“Beijing will ban smoking in public areas beginning on July 1st.”,北京将从7月1日起在公共场合禁烟,后文则是禁烟的好处和场所,因此B选项符合题意。
