问题    The students’ Union provides virtually all the other forms and aspects of education outside the bounds of your academic studies. There is more to college life than just your studies; for many, this will be their firs! foray beyond the borders of tile family home and for everyone, college life will be new and the desire to experiment and make the most of it will be unanimous.  This is where the Students’ Union comes in.
   The Students’ Union is run by an Executive Committee of 18 members of which there are sabbatical officers, the President, Vice-President and the Entertainment and publicity officer.  This committee is elected annually by the student body and meets weekly to organize and ensure the smooth running of all the Students’ Union services from shows to the launderette.
   The Students’ Union provides four major services.  1.  Presentation: by sitting on all the colleges’ boards and committees including Governors and by joining NUS nationally, the Students’ Union aims to represent your interests as students and, when necessary, fight for your rights and welfare.  2.  Services: the Students’ Union provides a shop selling virtually anything from Nicaraguan Coffee to propelling pencils.  We also run a snack bar with the cheapest prices possible. 3.  Entertainments: three or four times a term we put on shows featuring a wide range of bands from both local and national circuits.  More regularly there are bands and discos in the smaller ventures at our disposal. 4.  Funding: the Students’ Union funds all of the 32 clubs and societies covering sports, academic, political interests.  The  Union  also  funds  other  one-off events  such  a  theatrical performances and exhibitions.
   The Students’ Union is run by an Executive Committee which is elected  (46)  by the students and is responsible for providing  (47)  in mainly four fields.
