If the parents treasure peace, they will quarrel with the neighbors, and bully their children. If the parents are concerned about health, they will wear summer clothes in freezing weather.
    Parents usually respond in the following way. First, they get tough. When this fails, they switch to kindness. When no results follow, they try reasoning. When gentle persuasion falls on deaf ears, they return to threats and punishment.
    Experts advise relaxation in face of such a situation. Fighting a teenager, like fighting a tide, is bound to fail. When caught in a crosscurrent, experienced swimmers float and let the tide carry them instead of struggling, until they find a firm footing. Likewise, parents of teenagers must folw with life, adapting to them.
