Dear Mr. President,
    I’m a student of this university. Recently, fire disasters have broken out in some universities, which caused heavy losses. Not only buildings and other property are destroyed, but also several students have lost their lives because of the fire. Therefore it is vital to prevent fire disasters on campus.
    However, I find that students on campus pay little attention to fire prevention. On the one hand, some students don’t strictly abide by the fire regulations of the school; some of them read books with a candle light at night and sometimes they use high power electric heater in the dormitory. On the other hand, the school is to blame for not paying enough attention to this issue. In some dormitory buildings, some fire extinguishers don’t work. Besides, a lot of students don’t know how to use them. If things keep going on like this, the possibility for fire break-out will be very high.
    Therefore, I think we must solve the problems without any delay. And the authority of the school should pay due attention to fire prevention so as to protect students’ life and public property.
