    Currently, with the disclosure of several cases of food scandal, the problem of food security has aroused enormous concern among the public. It goes without saying that it is of great necessity to stop the prevalence of food insecurity which has already impacted public health greatly.
    A couple of driving forces may lie behind this undesirable phenomenon. First and foremost, much more attention was paid to profit than to the public health by the greed-driven food producers. More importantly, the lack of adequate regulation and punishment on those illegal producers enforces the trend. In addition, the overuse of agricultural pesticide has resulted in the degradation of food quality.
    To solve the problem, prompt and strict measures should be taken. Firstly, the government should spare no effort to establish laws and implement them effectively to avoid food insecurity. Secondly, a massive campaign should be launched for all citizens to build up their consciousness against toxic foods. I am firmly convinced that through our combined efforts we are bound to enjoy more risk-free foods in the days ahead.
