M: Thank you. I am thrilled too. You also did good work passing the first round of the interview held by the GQ Investment Bank. I’m sure you will also do well in the final interview.
W: I hope so. I also hope that you can share with me some of your successful experience, if you don’t mind.
M: Sure. No problem. What do you want to know?
W: How did you prepare for your interview? Do they ask the same questions as they do in the first interview?
M: No. The interviewers are top executives and the questions are quite different. You really need to know the corporation. Even if you researched before your first interview, review the information and read more on the company. Show you care about the company by being able to tailor your answers to the company’s vision and goals.
W: Then, what kind of questions they may ask?
M: I don’t think you’ll get the same kind of questions everywhere. If you know somebody who already works for the company, talk to them to get a sense of what to expect from the final interview. Ask for any insight into exactly what the interviewers are looking for.
W: Good to know. What else?
M: Consider your requirements and desires for salary and benefits. Questions about these topics may arise in the final interview. Preparing yourself to answer the questions helps you avoid being caught off guard and giving a salary range you later regret.
W: I really haven’t thought about that. Oh, the bus is coming. May I call you if I have more questions?
M: Sure. See you!
