    As can be seen from the table, the student spends most of his money on clothing, trip, get-togethers with friends, date and other entertainment, which cost 2500 RMB yuan in total. The money spent on daily necessities, books and VCDs accounts for less than 20 percent.
    In my opinion, it is neither reasonable nor beneficial for students to make scholarship budgets like that. Managing money affairs properly can suggest a person’s healthy living habit. Judging from this, it is obviously not reasonable for the student to make such an ill-advised budgets. In addition, such an ill- balanced budget will yield little benefit to his study as excessive entertainment costs a person’s considerable energy and time.
    If I were the student, I would budget my scholarship as follows. Firstly, I would put aside a third of the money in case of the rainy day. As a student, I clearly know the hardships paid for my scholarship. Therefore, I would set aside another big sum for books and instruments essential for my future study. As for the other expenses such as daily necessities, clothing, travel and so on, I would give due consideration within my budget. In the final analysis, every student should learn how to correctly judge his or her own demands for the hard-earned scholarships.
