Dear sir / madam,
    I would like to apply for the post of computer programmer which was advertised in today’s edition of China Daily.
    I think I am competent to meet the requirements which you have specified, for my education and experience are both in line with the specifications of the job you offer. I graduated from Southwest University in 2003, majoring in computer science. When I was still at college, I worked as a computer programmer in my spare time for a company and I gained some experience in this field. Since graduation from university, I have been working with a computer company, developing software, where my performance is highly spoken of. Now I want to work in a company where there will be more opportunities for advancement.
    If you feel that I am suited for the job, I would look forward to the opportunity for an interview.
