    There is no consensus among people as to the role of college education in a person’s success. Some hold that college education holds the key to unlock the future success, whereas others argue that college education plays a minor role in one’s achievements.
    Those who maintain the former view may say college is a specialized institution of higher learning. They believe that college education can equip one with adequate knowledge, practical skills, great visions, etc. which are essential to one’s future success. However, others think otherwise. They advocate that such good examples as Bill Gates and Steve Jobs have achieved great success in their respective fields though they never graduated from college.
    Personally, I side with the former opinion. For one thing, though there do exist the above figures, most of us still need to attend college because college education provides us with the best way, if not the only way, to succeed. For another, numerous successful people, like the Nobel Prize Winners, attribute their achievements to a formal college education. In a word, college is an amazing treasure trove. We college students should make the best of it and be prepared for our future success.
