答案     In the picture above, a man is forced by the revised Law of the Aged to visit his aging parents. This cartoon reflects a current phenomenon of parental neglect in China.
    Filial devotion has traditionally been one of China’s core virtues. But the transformation of Chinese society over past three decades has played havoc with the traditional family model. As younger generations leave home to work in cities, they no longer stay behind to care for their aged parents. Therefore, in order to cease this trend, a new regulation concerning the senior was forced to be enacted.
    As far as I am concerned, this revision is a reminder for the young to refocus on the traditional values of filial piety. However, it is far not enough.
    To address the issue of parental neglect, more details should be specified, such as the duties and punishment for children who ignore their parents. Besides, as China is entering an aging society, more retirement homes should be built and decent pension provision provided to ensure the elderly people’s quality life.
