    As humans, we do make mistakes from the very beginning of our life. It is acceptable to make mistakes. As the saying goes, man errs as long as he strives.
    To begin with, mistakes and progress go hand in hand. It is by correcting mistakes we have made that we keep progressing. Many famous scientists, such as Nobel, Franklin, and Einstein, to name only a few, had made mistakes in their experiments, but they learned from their mistakes and finally succeeded. In addition, mistakes contribute to the development of society to some extent as people may learn from others’ mistakes and avoid making the same mistakes. And thus the whole society will make progress.
    To sum up, we young people should be well aware that it is acceptable for people to make mistakes. When we strive for our dreams, we do make mistakes. But more importantly, we should learn from our mistakes and make progress.
