On the tarmac sit huddled groups of Taliban fighters burning fire to keep themselves warm through the night. As this hostage drama goes into its seventh day, it’s impossible to tell what’s in the minds of the hijackers or their captives. But we do know what is in the mind of the Taliban, to get rid of the plane and all its human cargo as soon as possible. The Taliban warned that if the hijackers and the Indian negotiators don’t resolve the issue swiftly, they will make the plane leave Afghanistan.
