    There is no consensus among people as to whether theoretical knowledge or social practice should be valued more at college. From my perspective, university students should focus more on social practice under the current severe employment situation.
    For one thing, being an armchair strategist doesn’t work for future job hunting. Most college students cannot apply the theoretical knowledge acquired from books to social practice due to lack of sufficient exercises, which will certainly have a negative impact on their future employment prospects. For another, social practice can offer students more chances to contact the real world off campus and broaden their horizons so as to lay a solid foundation for them to enter society. Last but not least, students can realize their self-value and become more socially responsible through social practice.
    To summarize, more attention should be paid to social practice at college on the premise of not ignoring the acquisition of theoretical knowledge on which practical skills are based.
