    You borrowed a book from your advisor, Paul, last Saturday and he asked you to give it back this Wednesday because he has to refer to the book. But you did not return the book that day. Write a note to explain the reason and apologize to him. Marks will be awarded for content, organization, language and appropriateness.

    I’m so sorry for failing to give the book back to you today. I didn’t realize 1 mistook my textbook for your book until I got to school in the morning. I know that you need the book to prepare for your keynote speech at Sunday’s conference and my silly mistake has caused you much trouble. I will return the book as soon as possible. My sincere apologies again for any inconvenience.
