A diver has gone missing off the coast of Dorset prompting a massive search involving aircraft and dozens of vessels. (21)The man, believed to be 64-year-old, went missing about 12 miles southeast of Portland while on a dive trip with the diving boat Skindeeper. (22) The captain of the boat alerted coastguards shortly before 1100 British Summer Time on Friday when the diver failed to surface. The coastguard confirmed a " highly concentrated" search by lifeboats, a UK Border Agency vessel and a Fisheries Protection plane was unsuccessful. The emergency services will decide in the morning whether to resume the search.
