   There was an accident happened recently, which was sad because the victim was a two-year-old child who was attacked viciously by a small dog. Many people were infuriated, they blamed that there are too many dogs out there without leash or wearing a mask, since their owners are irresponsible. Some of them even objected to having a pet.
   It cannot be denied that having pets caused many problems. The bacterium which pets hold is a risk to pregnant women and kids. Meanwhile, many pets owners who have poor sense of environment protection .leave their dogs’ excrement everywhere. The other disadvantage people argued that is their owners spend much money taking care of them, like buying them toys, feeding them special food and spending high fees for medical treatment; They thought it is a waste of money.
   But pets are not the one we should blame to. Most of them are harmless not only to the environment but to people. They actually are human’ s best friends. Scientific research shows that having dogs or cats can help people release their tense and depression. A seeing-eye dog is a constant companion for its blind owner.
   The key to solve this problem is not to forbid people form having pets, but to establish rules and principles of having them as well as enhance people’ s awareness. Then we’ll have a chance to build a wonderful life for human beings and for pets.
