    Some people read very rapidly; others read very slowly. A rapid reader may say, "I read along story in one evening. "However someone who reads slowly perhaps say, "I read slowly, but carefully. And I am familiar with every detail(细节). "So who do you think is the better reader? The slow reader or the rapid reader?
    In my opinion, the key question is not the speed. That is to say, we cannot draw a conclusion that the rapid reader is the good reader, or the slow reader is good. It depends on what we  are reading and what’s our purpose of reading. If you are a rapid reader, you may be a good reader when you read a story book for fun, and it will not take you too much time. But when you have to read a textbook or a research report, you’d better slow your speed and read it word by word to avoid making any possible mistake. On the other hand, if you are a slow reader, you may be a good reader when you read some directions for making something. But you will waste a lot of time to read a simple story．
