    In this picture, we can see a big hand is throwing a coin while five small hands rising high are scrambling for it. This is exactly a reflection of the imbalanced awkwardness in the field of charity—the donations are too few to meet the needs of disadvantaged groups.
    This is particularly true of China, a developing country with the largest population in the world. In our country, people who need help such as the disabled, the poor, the left-behind children and those suffering from natural disasters account for a large proportion while the institutions and organizations for charity and public undertakings are few and far between. In addition, a lack of transparency in fund managment leads to a heavy loss and waste of donations, leaving those in need with almost nothing.     To improve this, the concerted efforts of government, enterprises and individuals are essential If more and more people are willing to donate while fewer people need help, the picture that five hands contending for one coin will not been seen any more.
